Biography
Winton Reynolds
C. Winton Reynolds has been part of the San Francisco and Austin music scenes for 25 years. Winton began studying piano as a young boy while living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Much of his youth was spent traveling through Latin America and the various musical styles of these countries are at the core of his musical personality. Reynolds combines this experience with his classical and jazz training to create music with a worldly vision.

Winton performs with his own group in Austin and at festivals throughout the country. He also performs regularly around Austin, TX with salsa and latin jazz groups Trio4mas, Tiburon and The Brew.

He has toured throughout the US and Canada as accompanist for Rounder Records recording artist Carrie Newcomer.

Winton Reynolds earned graduate degrees in Jazz Studies and Composition from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, IN. He is currently a Lecturer of Music Theory and Assistant to the Director at the Butler School of Music, UT Austin.
